Shikhondo: Blue Pieta is a side-scrolling fantasy bullet hell shoot ’em up developed by DeerFarm and published by CFK, following Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage with a new story set in a foreign city. An Eastern rookie grim reaper crosses the ocean while following the trail of an unknown Youkai and encounters a vampire hunter who has been fighting alone in the darkness for years, setting the stage for a new supernatural conflict. For the first time in the series, Shikhondo: Blue Pieta changes to side-scrolling gameplay while retaining its intense bullet hell action, with modern stages featuring a big city, theme park, subway station, and other locations. The game also features full voice acting, an evolved Soul Collect system, and new gameplay elements designed around its expanded side-scrolling battlefield.
